Database Crash

I have delivered many Wordpress websites. I have read the overview. So do the databases for the websites still exist on the webserver? Only connection needs to be reestablished or database itself is no more? Please share site urls and hosting server access so that I can check first hand and see what is the issue. Hi Anna, From that error message it looks like either your database doesn't exist or connection info is wrong. Never mind I can check and fix such issues. If you are sure that you lost database then we will have to recover by talking to hosting providers, recreating isn't possible as there are lots of things that wordpress does and it will all be lost. Hello . . "Error establishing a database connection" usually means there is something wrong with database access, it could be the db name, username, password, or host is wrong or the db was already deleted. If your hosting has the backup, we could easily re-import and re-create the database, from there we could just adjust the access to recover the site it usually take not too longer to recover this, depends on how big the database and which causing the crash. My rough estimation would be 1 - 2 days to recover, could be quicker if it only database issue :) Thank you and regards, Eni

Hi! The message means the wordpress cannot connect to your database. Is your database hosted on the same server, or is it remote ? When you say crashed, do you have error messages from your database service ? It would be in the logs. If you want, I can help you find the logs while just chatting
